PLEASE NOTE: Using your debit card internationally
In 2007, for security purposes HRCU debit cards will no longer automatically work outside of the United States. This includes Canada and Mexico. If you are traveling outside of the United States, simply let us know and your card will be authorized to make transactions. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy.
HSAs were established in 2003 as a method to allow employers and/or employees to contribute to a tax deferred personal savings account which is used to pay smaller and routine medical expenses. These accounts are valuable to those with high-deductible health insurance plans as a way to cover out-of-pocket expenses. As an HRCU Premier Business accountholder, you can offer HSAs as a benefit to your employees. Amounts contributed to an HSA belong to individuals and are completely portable. Every year the money not spent stays in the account and gains interest tax-free, just like an IRA. Funds distributed from the HSA are not taxed if they are used to pay for qualifying medical expenses.
HRCU has a free HSA debit card that allows you access to your HSA account whenever you need it.

HRCU allows Premier Business members to make deposits and payments to the IRS electronically through the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System. You are still responsible for filling out and filing with the IRS any forms that correspond to the type of tax payments for which we are initiating payments. Payments to be initiated by HRCU will be handled monthly, quarterly, semiannually and annually. If you are interested in enrolling in this process, speak with your personal banker soon.
