Community Advisory Council

The Board of Directors and members of management at HRCU are excited to announce the formation of a new committee - the HRCU Community Advisory Council (CAC), which seeks the involvement of members of our community. Having received feedback that members would like to become more involved with the credit union, the CAC was created to provide this opportunity to those in the community who would like to play a larger role at HRCU.  You had expressed an interest or were recommended by a staff member or HRCU Volunteer; therefore, we are reaching out to you.

The CAC will be a resource to help HRCU make informed decisions on how to best serve the community. The mission is to educate, communicate and increase community awareness to promote the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People”.

As a financial institution that has built its roots here in the greater Rochester community, it is important for us to be aware of the community’s needs.   Since HRCU has become a valuable resource to so many in our area, we welcome the opportunity to inform members on new products and services, current events, HRCU governance and our community involvement.

If you are interested in joining the CAC, we do not expect a considerable time commitment. We anticipate meeting two or three times a year, allowing us an opportunity to gain important feedback from you. We have not set a schedule yet and we will do a survey of those interested to find the best time that works for everyone.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. The board and I look forward to working with you as we form this new committee, bringing additional resources to the credit union that ultimately will provide improved services to our membership.

If you are interested in pursuing the opportunity to be part of our Community Advisory Council, please contact Kristy Methot at ( or at (603) 332-6840 and additional information will be sent to you.
