Milton, NH – For the 2018-2019 school year, HRCU has sponsored the Foundations of Personal Finance program by Dave Ramsey for 8th grade class at Nute Middle School.
Nute Teacher Julie Davis has found that working with middle and high school students using Foundations in Personal Finance by Dave Ramsey has given them the start they need to “win with money”. The Five Foundations of the Dave Ramsey program build on one another and its lessons align seamlessly with New Hampshire State Standards for Personal Finance, FCS.
“I have witnessed the successes of many of the students that have completed Personal Finance at Nute, whether it is shopping around for car insurance or choosing to pay cash for a community college, rather than taking out student loans to go to a higher priced university. These are the real-world experiences that support my belief that this program puts my kids on the road to success,” said Davis.
HRCU is committed to financial education within our local schools and is honored to be the sponsor for this program. In the 2017-2018 school year, HRCU reached over 1100 students in the classroom alone through their financial educational services.
“With the support of HRCU, I will be able to continue providing this quality program to my Middle School students at Nute,” Davis added.
“I am pleased that Nute Middle School is dedicated to teaching their students imperative financial lessons to help them make smart choices as they get older. I look forward to working with this program next year!” said HRCU’s Director of Financial Education Leah Taylor.
