Banking & Finance Classes
Through a long-standing partnership with Spaulding High School and the Richard W. Creteau Regional Technology Center, HRCU offers hands-on courses that prepare students for real-world success. Starting in fall 2025, HRCU will expand its class offerings to include two new introduction to banking classes and a year-long banking and financial services course eligible for college credit. Students gain valuable knowledge in personal finance, customer service, and banking operations, with opportunities for internships and scholarships. Taught by HRCU Financial Educator Kayleigh Erwin, these courses are open to students from Spaulding, Somersworth, and Dover High Schools.
Spaulding High School Branch
Since 2006, HRCU has operated a fully functional credit union branch inside Spaulding High School during the school year. Located at the school’s main entrance and open to the public, this branch gives student tellers the chance to gain authentic work experience while developing professionalism and learning important financial skills. With support from HRCU staff, students perform everyday banking transactions and gain confidence in a career-focused setting. Many Spaulding graduates have gone on to pursue careers in finance and related fields, making this one-of-a-kind branch a launchpad for future success.
