ROCHESTER, NH – HRCU has announced that their garden at the Rochester branch has been officially dedicated as Richard “Dick” Sylvain’s Memorial Garden. Sylvain was a former staff member and longtime volunteer who passed away in 2016 after 43 years of dedicated service to HRCU.
A ceremony was held this past month to recognize Sylvain’s service with members of his family, HRCU President & CEO Brian Hughes, and Chairman of the Board of Directors Dana Flanders.
“Dick showed great dedication to HRCU for a long time and it was important to us to recognize his service. We are honored to dedicate our garden to Dick and are grateful his family was able to join us for this occasion,” said Hughes.
Sylvain served the credit union as an employee and in numerous support roles throughout the years, most notably as the as the Chairman of the Board for 25 years.
